Beyond the above literal definition, “BOSKY” has a deeper meaning to us.

The notion of “abundance” in the environment is one that drives and informs all our decision making. We live in a world where careful thought and a commitment to sustainability is vital for the longevity of our climate, environment, and way of life.

Although we acknowledge the finite limitations of our world, we approach our profession as a means to counter the lack of abundance in the greater landscape. As landscape architects, we strive to add an abundance of cooling, habitat, regenerative open spaces, clean water, healthy soils, and spaces to allow community a space to create, dream, and protect this rare rock orbiting the sun.

BOSKY: \ bah-ski \

Definition: having an abundance of trees or shrubs

BOSKY is no ordinary landscape architecture office.

We aim to push boundaries and challenge expectations on each and every project.  We value new technology, modern materials, sustainable approaches, and often come into the office with dirt under our fingernails.

For us, the dynamic nature of landscape keeps every project alive long past the installation date.  There is no greater joy than to be surprised by unanticipated moments in a designed garden a decade after its conception on paper.

Modern office space with desks, computers, and large green plants, featuring a loft area and a table with architectural plans.

How we stand out.

  • Layout of Apricot Lane Farms, featuring a pond and native garden design. The image includes sections labeled about pond features, aquatic characteristics, indication species, and various habitat types like upland, coastal sage scrub, riparian, meadow, and floating islands. A pond with surrounding vegetation and features like trails and walkways is depicted. Text details specific characteristics of different areas and their ecological importance.

    Passion

We find excitement in the blending of art, botany, soil science, construction, and many other facts of our profession. But more importantly, we believe our profession has the ability to create spaces that heal and honor our natural environment for generations to come.

    Vision

Taking a raw or under-utilized site and giving it character and purpose takes practice, requires inspiration, and is best achieved when our hand is gently informed by our passion.

    Communication

Beyond the expected form of communication, our ability to convey design intent through spoken word, 2D & 3D illustrations, and video creates a robust and honest way for us to share our ideas and respond to client needs.

  • A graph and table illustrating the estimated return on investment analysis for landscapes from 2011 to 2031. The graph compares three lines: existing landscape, proposed landscape with water maintenance, and proposed landscape with improvements only. Key milestones are noted: ROI (2) in 2023 and ROI (1) in 2025. Below is a table detailing costs for different scenarios over 1 and 20-year spans, including water and maintenance costs, and total expenses for existing and renovated landscapes with options for reclaimed water use.

    Technically Solid

With over 20 years in the industry, we’ve picked up a bit along the way. We integrate our experience into all phases our work to ensure the projects we support are rooted in reality and are viable long-term solutions.

    Ongoing Support

We recognize our role as landscape architects naturally morphs into garden coaching. Once a garden is planted, its journey is just beginning and we enjoy supporting its evolution.

Endorsements

We feel the best mark of our service is not necessarily the landscapes that are created, but the relationships that are forged through the design, construction, and maintenance of a project.  Here are a sample of accolades:
